Dave Helt, owner of Helt Builders, LLC, was born and raised on a Dane County farm. Graduated from Sauk Prairie High School. Dave worked in home building construction for 5 years before starting his business in 1979.

Dave's business has evolved to include all agricultural aspects. Dave and his crew have completed projects that include 300 cow freestalls, manure handling situations, farmstead equipment for freestalls, trench silos, flat work for silo bags, grooved cow yards and fenceline feeding that include selflocks.

Dave sells an array of equipment from rubber flooring, rubber mats and stalls from Agromatic; self locking equipment and stalls from Albers Dairy Equipment; manure handling equipment from Husky; cattle waterers from Miraco; fiberglass fencing from TJ's Fencing, vertical TMR mixers from Penta and ventilation from Munters/AeroTech.

His latest venture is steel buildings through American Buildings. Dave also has a good working relationship with Dick Acker and Jay Gunderson, Sales Specialists of Cleary Buildings and Wick Buildings sold by Meigs Inc.

Helt Builders LLC has also had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Nigel Cook of the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison on some area projects.
